We were warmly welcomed to this beautiful restaurant in the centre of Amsterdam. My dietary requirements (no meat, no garlic, no onion) were happily accommodated which made me very happy. The food did not arrive quickly but was worth the wait. It was all served beautifully and did not disappoint - it was simply delicious. We will definitely visit again next time we are in the area.

The decoration does not make it looks like Indian Restaurant. It looks so elegant and fine dining. The service is beyond expectations! The food is amazing, perfect portions and spice. We love it very much that the staff come to check if everything is ok. Reasonable price and absolutely recommended!

One of my favourite restaurants to go to in Amsterdam! Food is amazing and so flavourful, staff are really friendly and helpful and cocktails are superb (and nice and strong!)

For us: The best Indian restaurant in town! Since 2016 (then still in a smaller venue further up on Spuistraat) this has become a main part and must-go of our regular Amsterdam stays!

After living in India, it’s hard to get authentic food. And we have really enjoyed the authentic atmosphere and the comfortable and cozy staying at the restaurant itself. It’s a really nice atmosphere. We have totally enjoyed our stay and all dishes have been very tasty. Thank you for the nice and pleasant stay we can really recommended it. Super tip for Indian dishes

The restaurant is very nice, with a nice interior design. I have also got food delivered from this restaurant and the food never disappoints. What I like the most is that the food is actually really spicy, which is a bit rare for Indian restaurants in Amsterdam. And as always with Indian food, you will get a lot. Ca two meals. Would recommend you to go here.

Ashoka was the first Indian restaurant where I dined. The food and the ambiance were excellent. The service was wonderful…the nicest waitress who custom ordered our meal so that we would be able to enjoy our meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to all my readers.

They have an incredibly large variety of dishes to choose from on the menu as well as many vegan / vegetarian options. The quality of the food is very good and it is clear that they use the best ingredients! The service was slightly slow but it was incredibly packed so I can't fault them on this. Additionally, our waitress was very attentive and kind which made the evening even better. Overall, it was a good experience and I highly recommend to visit here!

Amazing service so polite and very professional. I asked for a Lamb Dhansak a dish that was not on the menu and they were happy to accommodate and was honestly the tastiest curry I have had!!! would recommend this restaurant to anyone in Amsterdam. thank you to all staff and management at Ashoka we very much look forward to eating with you again.

Delicious food and generous portion sizes. Some of the best Inidian food I've had. Very friendly staff who regularly checked in on you to see if you needed anything else. Lovely setting and the noise level was great as it was easy to make conversation.

Fabulous meal in a lovely restaurant. The decor was very nice and all of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was amazing! We were glad we went for the shared dining menu as it gave us lots of different dishes. There was plenty of food and it was all delicious. We finished with liquor coffees and left feeling well fed and happy!

Don't write reviews often. But wow. Blows ya mind. Service, food, flavours and vibes. I think it beats every curry house I've been to in London, Dubai, Australia, Vietnam, Thailand.....the list goes on. Try it.

Wow, what an amazing dining experience. We come from London and love our Indian food but this truly blew us away. Everything was wonderful, the ambience, service, and most importantly the food. It was all so flavoursome and delicious - being able to choose your spice rating was definitely a plus point. Would highly recommend to those visiting Amsterdam and wanting the best food!

For sure the best Indian food restaurant I ever eat!! The personal is very kind ... and the spicy Momos are something that I can't describe... you just have to try it... If you like spicy... but it worth... for sure will be back next...
