Ashoka Amsterdam Centrum
House Rules

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for all our guests, Ashoka Amsterdam Centrum kindly requests that the following house rules are observed. These guidelines help us maintain a pleasant atmosphere and the high-quality service our guests value.

1. Dress Code: Smart Casual

We encourage guests to dress in smart casual attire.
• Smart jeans and casual sneakers are welcome
• Please avoid sportswear, beachwear, flip-flops, and caps.

Our aim is to create a relaxed yet refined environment.

2. Menu & Dietary Requests

Ashoka Amsterdam Centrum offers a wide selection of Indian and Nepali dishes prepared with authentic flavours and fresh ingredients.

To help us serve you better:

  • Please inform us of allergies or dietary restrictions before ordering
  • We try to accommodate preferences, but modifications may be limited for certain dishes
  • For groups, we only offer our Group Menu (Private Dining or Shared Dining), and prior selection is required
  • À La Carte: For the complete Ashoka experience, we recommend a minimum of three courses — Soup, Starter and Main Course, or Starter, Main Course and Dessert.

3. Reservations & Arrival Time

  • Please arrive on time for your reservation
  • A 15-minute grace period applies; after this, the table may be released
  • If you are delayed, kindly inform us as soon as possible

This ensures smooth and fair seating for all guests.

4. Children & Infants

We warmly welcome families at Ashoka Amsterdam.

As a fine dining restaurant with a refined concept, where the dining experience typically lasts 2 to 3 hours, it is not considered suitable for infants.

We kindly ask that children remain seated and under supervision at all times, so that all guests can fully enjoy the atmosphere.
For comfort and safety, strollers and prams are best placed in the designated areas rather than at the dining table.

5. Coats & Jackets

Guests may keep light jackets on if they wish. However, long coats, bulky jackets, and parkas must be hung in the wardrobe or designated area. These items cannot be brought to the dining table, as this helps maintain a tidy, comfortable space and allows our team to serve you smoothly.

6. Pets

In consideration of guests with allergies and to preserve a serene dining environment, pets are not permitted inside the restaurant.
Registered service dogs are welcome.

7. Behaviour & Atmosphere

To ensure a comfortable dining experience:

  • Please keep noise levels considerate
  • Phone calls should be taken outside
  • Mobile devices should remain on silent mode

8. Photography

Guests are welcome to take photos of their meals.

To respect everyone’s experience:

  • Please avoid flash photography
  • Do not photograph other guests without permission

9. Cancellation Policy

If your plans change, we kindly ask you to cancel according to the terms provided during booking. This allows us to offer tables to other guests.
